Kevin Hart & Real Husbands of Hollywood BET Cypher

BET’s original series The Real Husbands of Hollywood took to the Cypher stage for a sidesplitting parody of the BET Cyphers. The cast includes Kevin Hart (Chocolate Drop), Nick Cannon, Nelly, Boris Kodjo & J.B. Smooth.

The group alludes the some of the funniest moments of their Season 1 series and leads even leads to a snowball effect of disses by the end.

Chocolate Drop, who is Kevin Hart, kills the competition with the last verse with bars that make no sense that will leave you on the floor rolling.

“Buck Buck Bing Bing, that’s a gun homie!”

TDE’s Cypher Bringing Back Competition in Rap

The Cyphers during the BET Hip Hop Awards is always the highlight of the night, maybe even the highlight of the month for hip-hop.

TDE is bringing back the tough competition, and this Cypher is the proof. Everyone knows who Kendrick Lamar is and the heat he is bringing to the game, and has been in the limelight since “Good Kid Madd City”. Kendrick’s verse on Big Sean’s “Control” had the whole world in a buzz which put him start to the top of Best MCs right now.

Not only is Kendrick killing the game but the whole TDE team seems to be on the uphill. Ab-Soul and SchoolBoy Q have already made their names known and with rising star such as Jay Rock, Isaiah Rashad and SZA, there is no limit to this squad.

Time to stop being so friendly and bring out the best in every lyricist. Just no more violence like Biggic and Pac back in the day, please.

War time.

La La Land – Lonely

Relatively unknown in the UK, that is until now; LaLa Land made a huge debut with their first release in Europe alongside U.S super-producer Timbaland in 2012, to an incredible response which gained them over 35 million YouTube hits.

The production duo who have gained previous notoriety through their individual success, can boast sell out shows throughout Europe and are responsible for a string of releases, (now in the library of dance classics), through EMI subsidiary, Positiva Records. Evolving their sound and taste over the years, LaLa Land came together to amalgamate their various influences of Hip-Hop, club and electro beats and feature the vocals of global artists on the track listing of their debut album.

Lead track ‘Lonely’ focuses on a club and electro influence with a catchy hook and a sexy smooth vocal. Already receiving strong support from the likes of BBC 1Xtra’s DJ Cameo, Capital Xtra’s DJ Woody and play listed at Westside Radio, La La Land look set to emulate their European success on British shores.

Far from being content with taking the conventional route to producing music, LaLa Land apply the same rules to their visuals and to top off their UK introduction ‘Lonely’ comes with a visual that will take you by surprise taking a controversial twists from your typical “club” video.

SZA Teen Spirit – Self-Directed Video

Top Dawg Entertainment have pushed their latest artist SZA to the masses with her latest self-directed video “Teen Spirit”. TDE representing some of the biggest names in the scene at the moment from Kendrick Lamar, Jay Rock & Ab-Soul to name a few. SZA is truly on the right label to make an impact on the overpopulated music scene.

Im sure SZA holds her hands up and says “It’s not a masterpiece” but lets face it cruising around with Kendrick and directing a video cant be snubbed at..
