Al Weiwei, a famous Chinese artist used exactly 3,144 bicycles to form the project “Forever Bicycles”. The piece is meant to represent the fast pace evolution on transportation and technology.
The sculpture gives the illusion of endless circles and how the advancement in transportation has been a blur over the past 100 years. Each bike has been fused, molded and interconnected to make one large body of work.
“Bicycles Forever” is currently on display in Toronto, Canada until the date of October 27th, but the piece is expected to travel globally in the near future.
